White dots?

hi all- can anyone help me ID what might be on my purple tang? I got him from my lfs and he showed signs of Ich as soon as I put him in my QT. He is currently on day 7 of copper power. But I am starting to notice these larger white dots they o really can only see when I look at him from the side. They are really hard to see and even harder to photograph. They are definitely bigger than Ich spots and not as solid looking. Any ideas! Sorry for the poor photos- the best I can get.

It's really hard to tell from your picture. It's just not clear enough to make a good Id. A lot of the white marks look to be on the glass of the tank.

Sounds like flukes. Have you done a freshwater dip on the Tang?

Blurry pix, but they look like flukes to me. Your description sounds like flukes too.
These are almost transparent parasitic flatworms that infest fish. About the size of a sesame seed.
They're common and can be overwhelming. I'd consider the information given here and here.

I too would do a freshwater dip. I’d continue copper, also. What level of copper are you using and how are you testing?

I’m at 1.75 of copper power. Testing with the API test kit which I know isn’t the best, the Hanna checker is better I know but I haven’t bought one of those yet. I have done research and I believe a humble fish did a great post where he posted pics of the api color chart at 1.75. I always make sure to reference that. So you think I should finish out the 30 days of copper? He doesn’t look uncomfortable or anything. He is eating well and respiration looks normal.

Happy Friday everyone – so just thought I would update and see if anyone has any additional ideas. I got a couple of pictures and it seems like if anything, his white patches have grown. I still have him in quarantine. When I got him from my LSF he showed signs of Ich pretty quickly so I have had him in copper power for three weeks at 1.75 with another week to go. I did give him a freshwater dip but I don’t really see much of a change. I think of anything the white patches have gotten more defined. It’s still hard to get a picture as he’s a little camera shy but if you have any ideas of what this might be let me know. I’m think I’m going to do a round of Prazi pro as soon as he’s done with copper but if others have recommendations I would welcome them readily

Behaviorally he’s acting totally normal, doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable, eating well.
