White fiberglass looking

Saw this weird looking "thing" and have no idea what it is. Try googling different possibilities (Bacteria, algae, sponge) but no hit yet. Any ideas with ID, good, bad?

A pic with less blue more white might help with a definitive ID.

A few more pictures. Could it be the glue from the frag that had a chemical reaction. It started a few weeks after that frag was added and it's next to were the frag was originally placed. I move it to the sand since I have no idea what it is. I have just been monitoring it.

Sponge would be my guess. You can just remove it.
