White filament on gap...what it is?

Hi guys, i have a gsp frag not opening for a few days and I have noticed that there are some white filaments on it...any idea on what it is? Normal? Dying?

Taking a bit of a shot in the dark here, but the white might be tiny feather duster worm tubes.

I dont think, they are soft.
