My sump is developing a thick white film in my sump. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I'm running charcoal and filter floss in filter cups and a skimmer.

Nope! In the sump it's just the BRS carbon (in a bag) filter floss ( changed every 3-4 days) and the skimmer.

Following along had same issue.
I think I have it resolved. I increased the flow on my return pump 5%. Next I removed my charcoal (prolly had it in there too long anyways) and replaced it with a bag of Purigen. That seemed to work, the film is gone!! I will keep an eye on my phosphates and nitrates for the next few days.

Oh I also adjusted my skimmer slightly to do a more wet skim
