White film on LPS corals.

Hi guys I did a 50% water change yesterday for the first time and my lps corals seems to be affected by it. There is a thin white film on all of them and i think the frogspawn is dead but I am not sure. I don't know what the film is.

Looks like fairly new setup. The favia is dead and the frogspawn is dying. Without details, this is my guess.

If corals were perfectly OK before the water change. Then when you made up your water for change out. You didn't match the alk.

The salinity is important as well as the temp. But alk is the most. A drastic change from 50% water change can kill corals.

Did you test alk in aquarium and new water before you started?

the white is because they are bleached and dead.
All that damage happened overnight because of one water change? There has to be more to the story...

I did not check the alk. The setup is 2 months old. I just checked the alk it's almost 240 ppm. Is there any way to save the remaining corals I have a few zoanthids in there as well.

I am not sure the snails and clowns are okay but I don't know how the alk changed so much I was using Ro-di filter as well.

Check your alkalinity and other parms and post please.
