White film on powerhead and filter

I noteced it about 3-4 month ago, thought something was accumulating that will correct itself with water changes, but leeps getting worse

What is this?

Could be alage, bacteria or sponge. Normal cleaning with a brush is needed so it does not clog the powerhead openings
