I have a 140 gallon, 4 year old, Fowlr tank. I started dosing it with N03:pO4-X about 2 months ago for a nitrate problem. The nitrates are now under control, however, I have noticed a white film that builds up on the inside of my glass aquarium weekly. It is easily removed but it does get annoying and makes my tank look cloudy. Has anyone experienced this w the above listed product or could it be due to something else?

It is hard to see on photos but, I can wipe it off.

Dose less, i back flush my sand filter and that's all that came out. I get it everywhere in DT thin film

It's bacterial. It will subside as bacterial populations decrease.

I just went through this recently when dosing carbon to reduce my N03. It will balance out in time.

Dosing NoPox always grows the white bacterial film on my glass.

I always run my skimmer a bit wetter when dosing nopox

My mesh socks get a white slime film as well when dosing nopox
