Fairly new to reefing. Had a 55gal reef tank for 10 months and never had a single outbreak of anything. Woke up one morning and the glass had cracked. Now have a 100 gal tank and just finished setting it up. Found some live rock where I live and have been cycling my tank for a few days now. Yesterday a white slimy spider web looking substance showed up in a few of the ledges and today it is everywhere. Don’t think it’s a slime because in the video you can see part of it has been blown apart from my power head. Anyone know what it is and or what I need to do about it?

Hmmm possibly but I just looked up pictures of that and it doesn’t look very similar. I’ll attach better pics see if that helps

Cant get video to play but pics look like heavy mulm which is a bacterial like film. It also suggest a lack of water flow.
What filtration are you using and what method of water flow?
Take a turkey baster and give substance a gentle blast. If it separates, siphon up matter right away and then finish the rest.
