Hey all so got this frag like 2 months ago it’s been pretty comfy in my tank now all of a sudden I spot this

Can anyone tell me what this is on my coral ?
I’m extreamily puzzled with this one it looks like filter wool but I don’t use filter wool so really confused

Did you feed before taking this pic?
Nope

Woke up this morning only a tiny little bit left on the coral now

I took it out of the tank to examine after the pic was taken and found a Vermited snail underneath it so I glued it up

Could this had been stressing the coral out ? Causing the white residue to appear?

I think it def could be bothering the coral. I would snap it off or plug it with glue/epoxy asap

Yeah I’ve plugged it with glue

I also found one of my LPS big mother one which I’ve plugged up with glue all corals are now under observation to see and identify any change
