White fluff on fish top fin - Should I worry?

So one of clowns has this little fluff of white on his top fin - had it when we got him but it is a little bigger now. Looked like a piece of shrimp got stuck up there but it is getting a wee bit bigger- he is acting totally fine no other signs of trouble
I want to take a brush to him lol ... Not really but sure looks like it could be brushed off

Better to error on side of caution and feed some metroplex bound with the seachem focus for a week. Toss some vitamin M in there for good measures too with your frozen feeding @melypr1985 what do you think?

Looks to by Lymph. You can think of it like a cold sore in humans. Most fish carry it and stress or poor conditions can bring it out. With vitamins like Selcon or Vitachem (to name a few), high quality foods, and good water quality it will go away. It's rarely fatal.

Thanks Mel! should it prevent me from putting my fish that is currently in QT into the DT with him? Not planning on doing it for a couple weeks but do I need to see the Lymph gone before I add anything fishwise?
Our water tests show things are pretty good ... a little phosphate that I am gonna deal with as soon as I get money for a reactor. do have a couple bags of phosguard in there. tank is still doing its cycle thing with a recent bloom of cyano

No sir. It will go away on it's own with good health. they probably all have the virus, it's just bad quality foods, water and stress ( to name a few) that bring it out.

Thanks Mel and and jsker ... Went to LFS last night and he said exact same thing! I have a great guy at our LFS - I am so lucky! I hear such horror stories on here . Have a little phosphate problem and instead of selling me a reactor and GFO and all kinds of other stuff that I was totally prepared to buy he says "well now let's look at how we get phosphates" and proceeded to go through all the ways and ask all kinds of good questions and we came up with a plan. I walked away with $10 worth of macro algae and a friendly admonishment to not leave my lights on forever. We will reevaluate in a week or so
