i have a weird white foam around some spots on like two or three pieces of my sps one was a very small piece I recieved from a friend that I had glued to a rock. I removed it and checked to see for sew red bugs and nudis and still I didn't see anything at all anywhere.

My question is what could this white foamy substance be. It seems to be what's causing the stn.
My Alk is 9.5 calcium 450 nitrates 3-5 phosphates I catn detect. Running a 250 watt metal halide 7 inches off the water. My lps and zooas are fine and my fish shrimp and bra are good as well I'm not sure what's going on here any ideas.

The only thing I can think is these corals came from a tank that is about 700 par and runs a calcium reactor also has more fish. I use only a doser. Thanks for any ideas

I have had them about three weeks they were fine the first week or so I expected a color shift but not this some have browned out few have bleached slightly. All I did was place them in the tank my tank matches alk and all parameters as my friends tank.

One last tidbit I forgot was my salinity dropped a little to .023 my ato got stuck for a little but I slowly raised the salinity back up over the course of 4 days. 4 pieces of sps are fine and 3 are not doing so well and have this weird stuff on them

I also have a weird white soft looks like tentacles almost but isn't on one of my zooas its stringy looking but not like Dino's and it has been freshwater dipped and nothing else on it at all

My guess is the changes in tanks shocked them but I assure you I am no expert.

I also noticed some vermitid snails that aren't doing me any favors but I have never had them damage my corals before

No aefw no redbugs and no nudis I've had two others look and none of us could see anything looking like a pest at all. I also have a pink digi with a weird white patch right in the center as well just want to get this figured out again all corals with any signs of stn or bleaching have been examined and dipped with no signs of pests

The "foam" looks just like very simple die back with a little algae growing on it. Perhaps I am not seeing exactly what you are referring to. Your parameters and lights should produce a very happy environment though. Since you have very low nutrients, you may want to consider lowering your alk below 9 but on the other hand if your other sps have been doing fine for a long time, then maybe you should just keep it there. Any chance there has been a fluctuation in the tank recently, temp,or alk swing

Yes I added all these after about three months and they stated sucking up more all I suppose I xm slowly let it lower and try that
