Hi all, my bangai cardinal has some white fuzz on one of it's top fins. Is this just something that got stuck on there or is it a infection of some sorts? If so how to treat it?

Can you try for a short video of pictures taken under white light? Some additional background information might help as well (history of the fish, etc.) Here is a link to helpful info about posting fish disease issues:

Hi Jay thanks for te reply.

Tank is a 200 liters reef, it is really young like 36 days old. (Set up cause my nano was full ) The fish are in there for 18 days. No quarantine was done sadly so can't say they went in clean. Although the looked healthy and are eating well.

Other inhabitants are 2 skunk cleaners and some strombus sp snails. Added some leftover frags from my nano.

I went on a 4 day holiday and today when I was back saw this. Before that I didn't notice anything. Below is a video under all whites. Although it's hard to keep focus I hope you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks, from what I can see, this is probably an injury with a minor infection. In many cases, an infection at the end of a fin like this just sort of fizzles out, like a match burning down. You’ll need to decide to either ride it out or set up a treatment tank and use an antibiotic (you shouldn’t dose your main tank with medications).
