So I wanted to move stuff from my nano tank to the 54 gal one. The fish is already relocated and I wanted to do the same with live rock, but I noticed some white, cotton-like fuzz on one of the pieces. I tried goodling a lil bit to find what the heck it is and if I should put it in a big tank, but all I found is that it might be :1) a sponge. 2) bacteria, 3) fungus. It looked like the picture from this post, yet it's not as big: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/invasive-sponge-i-d.129957/
Any ideas?

Live with it Ewelina. To jest normalne w nowym akwarium;)

I think it's sponge as well, which actually provides filtering, so it's not bad. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's likely growing in spots away from direct light. If it becomes invasive I'd think your water quality is out of whack, it will only grow to balance out your system. A really dirty tank it will be invasive, a clean tank the growth will be minimal.

It's a sponge but I don't think it's a pineapple . They are a good form of natural filtration . Like Lion King says , if they are growing out of control, this is most likely do to too many nutrients in the tank.

I finally took some pictures of my "issue". I'm pretty sure they grew, as you said lion king, on the bottom away from the light, but I rearranged the rocks and it looks differently on the pictures. Here they are
