I have a new 75 gal salt tank I'm getting started. I have some lace rock that I'm using in it and have a growth that I'm not sure what it is. Here are some pictures, if anyone could help me Id it it would be very helpful.

Looks like sponge and fungus. You can use a little brush to scrub it off. Whats your phosphate level?

Not sure just had my water test at my lfs and he said everything looked good, about mid way through my nitrate cycle

Ah, I don't trust LFS much, to many guys don't know what they are doing. And they normally don't test phosphates. But, if you just got started in the cycle, I wouldn't worry to much about that stuff for now.

Yea my wife's co worker is a vet sw he had 125 and a 120 said something looking similar was in his 120 and cleared out on its own. Had something to do with the rock curing. I'm majority dry rock, with some LR and live sand (60lbs sand).

Yea, you'll be ok with it. Should weed itself out during the cycle.
