Hi,

I got this white fuzzy thing growing on my live rock. It seems to grow under shade. Not sure what is it. Thank you!

Stop dosing coral food and keep you nutrients under control.

Can I use toothbrush to remove them? Since my fish is gone, I need to find a way to keep my nutrients. The coral are thriving. Any suggestions beside stop feeding coral food?

There is a thread about using Fenbendazole to treat hydroids. Don't do anything drastic with out proper research. Some hydroids are essentially self limiting others can be a pest. Not sure about he type you have but perhaps @Lionfish Lair can help with an ID.

Branching hydroids.
Colonial hydroids.

KJ, is there a way to remove them? I saw people online saying take the rock out and burn them with fire and use epoxy to cover them as well

If its possible , take these rocks out and soak in peroxide solution for a little bit. Scrub really good with a clean brush and rinse RO /DI , and put it back in your tank.;)
