White/Greyish Film at Water Surface

Can anyone enlighten me on what this is and/or a cause? First time I’ve ever noticed it. White/greyish film at the water’s surface. If I gently place a paper towel on the surface, it soaks much of it up and I can’t see as much from looking below. In the picture, the white lines circle where the current hits the most, thus why it’s clear. The red line circles the clouded area of he waters surface.

Looks like protein build up, have you sticked your hands in the tank? If you had anything on your hands it may slick off onto the water surface.

I have, but I typically wash my hands and upper arms thoroughly before reaching into my tank. I try not to reach in at all, but I've had to move around some corals lately. Best way to get rid of this? I am running a skimmer.
