How long have the white sections been there? Because it seems to me that the urchin is doing a good job at cleaning your rock’s, have the sections gotten any bigger and the urchin stays around there?

Noticed it 2 days ago, urchin left it and its been slowly spreading. I have sponges growing on my mangroves, but these do not seem to be the same.

Can you take a better picture, because at least to me, from looking at this picture, it just seems that the urchin was doing it’s job very well. I’ve had urchins eat a patch of coraline algae with in a matter of a couple of hours and left the rock snow white!

You might be right, the way its spread seems like a trail! I'll try to get a better pic tommorow. The urchin is fairly new so if it is him, that's pretty good cleaning.

Phone isnt getting any better pics. Its 100% the urchin. I dont even remember the rocks being that white when they were added lol.

Glad to hear that, and glad that I could help @Goodair. Photography is on my list of next thing to do in this awesome hobby, I also struggle taking pictures but there’s a lot of good threads on here about that, have a good day and happy reefing :)
