White growth on Ausie Lord frag

I noticed this on one or two of my other Ausie Lords in the past, (much smaller) but they went away or were grown over by the Lords.
I haven't seen one this big yet;

I just used a poker and it is one body that feels like a soft rubber ball.
if pushed a bit, the whole white part will jiggle with the poke
....possibly a sponge.

It seems to be reducing in size so the lord must be growing faster, so i think Ill leave it alone for now.

Update;
I took the coral out and used hydrogen peroxide with a q-tip to melt the sponge away.
I hurt the coral a bit but recovered nicely.
The sponge started showing up again at the very bottom edges about a week or so again and seems to be persistent about living there.
What else will do the trick ?
Scraping it off or cutting my loss and frag it up ?
