It's a relatively harmless sponge. If you don't like it (I think it adds character
) you can remove the snail and carefully scrape it off, treat with a very small amount of H2O2 and return the snail to the tank. DO NOT try to scrape it off in-tank - all you'll do is make more sponges. Lot's more sponges.
