I have this type of algae on a couple of plugs of frags. No clue what it is. I have never seen it before.

It is kind of whispy-ish, not fuzzy. White and has not changed colors in 2 weeks. Hasn't spread a crazy amount.

Anyone got any clues? It is annoying a couple of zoa frags and I want it gone.

Pic not clear, but I think this might be fungus...is it long? Is it on rocks only or on sand as well?
What'd your full parameters
What'd your system age?
Filtiration and equipment's?
Dosing?

I wouldn't consider it long. Maybe 1/8th of an inch if that.

Nitrate-10ppm, Phos-.05, 8.4dkh, 8.2ph. Didnt test calc, ammonia, or nitrite.

28.2 Waterbox frag. I run Purigen & Chemi-Pure Elite, filter floss, Tunze 9004 Skimmer, stock return, Nero 5 powerhead.

2.5 month old system. No dosing. Water changes every week with Red Sea Coral Pro salt.

Is it everywhere or only on this plug?

It’s only on 2-3 plugs and just a small fraction on the rocks. Maybe 2 spots less than a dime size area. I just don’t want it to be something I cannot control. I’ve manually removed it twice but wanted to get some more opinions before I went further.
