White hairs on conch and lobo?

My conchs and lobo have these white hair things growing on them down low by the sand. Any idea what they are?

Looks like this brown mat coral stuff that resembles xenia. Use to have this stuff in my old 150 that came on some live rock and grew like crazy. Can be a nuisance once it takes hold. Is it on your rocks anywhere?

If they're just on the conch and lobo, you may want to pull them from the tank and scrape them off if you can do so without harming the lobo.

Otherwise, the suggestions I’ve heard include picking them out with tweezers, starving them out (a few different methods for this, but the one quoted below seems to be the most prevalent in use), and using dwarf angefish/certain wrasses to eat them.
