Hi, I found these behind my skimmer.. is this something I need worry about?

nothing to worry about but i'll help you figure it out. Do they move at all?
It is not very soft (a little stiff) and waves a little to the water flow.. but not seeing it jumping around like what worms will do, looks like it is growing in that location. Thanks.

they really look like a sort of tube worm, do they have the head fans? you'll probably need a magnification lens to see if they haven't retracted inside

Here is the closeup pic... I don't see any fans coming out. They are thin like hair and about 2-4mm in length.

Harmless. Have them in my sump as well. Just need to be cleaned off equipment every now and then.

some have rigid tubes but yeah they are definitely feather dusters, they are taking advantage of a shady high flow area to get lots of free particles to eat
