Not sure if this is the right place to share this but I'm having a hard time finding any info on this and have never seen it myself. I just picked up a new pair of clownfish due to my last pair locking mouths and fighting, and after a week of enjoying them I've noticed one of then has a lump. It is hard as I have removed the fish to check it out with a glove on and it is firm and does not seem to be moveable. Any ideas on what this could be? She eats a minimal amount and seems okay in the tank but her fins are kept close to her body.

When I first got my anemone, my two clowns started fighting. One developed a couple of white lumps on it's side. I was worried it was a parasite. The issue gradually cleared up and the fish never appeared sick, so I think it was an injury. I didn't take the fish out and feel it though. That's hard core! :)

I would just make sure it doesn't grow like its a tumor or something. Otherwise I think John is right that its just an injury

Thanks, so far it doesnt look like its grown and I have noticed the other clown nipping in that area so I will keep a close eye on it
