Hi everyone.
I have just bought a beautiful Lipstick Tang over the weekend.
I am a bit concerned about some white marks on its body.
Can anyone tell me what and why and if I can do anything about it please.
Thank you

Those could be abrasions on his side, does he have them on both sides? Has he been flashing(scratching) on the sand or rocks?

Yes she has them on both sides, but today they seem to have faded somewhat. Will they eventually go away do you think

If you mean a Blonde Naso Tang, those are probably stress marks. They will come and go depending on it’s mood. Goofy fish , just like the Foxface’s.
Oh I was under the impression that the fish I bought was a Lipstick Tang and told that's what it is. Have I bought something else lol

A rose, by any other name . . .

That's the joy of common names - "Blonde naso tang" and "Lipstick tang" are two different names which can be applied to the same fish. (I like the name "Lipstick tang" when I'm touring the Public Aquarium with young kids - they just "get it".)

Look at it this way - you go two for the price of one!

That is a very good way of looking at it.
Thank you for sorting my conundrum out
