I got two small clownfish (black and orange ocellaris) right around three weeks ago and they’ve been doing fine together, up until today. The orange ocellaris has always been a bit aggressive to the black one leading me to belive it’s the female, especially as the black has never retaliated. Today I noticed the orange ocellaris breathing a little heavy and jittering occasionally (she was also swimming sideways while doing it), while also having some white fuzz on her mouth, as well as some very small slits in her fins (none of these were there two days ago). The black ocellaris doesn’t seem to have any on him but it’s hard to tell because his mouth has always been bright. My Blenny and Firefish are fine as well, and the clownfish never bother them, but I am keeping an eye on their mouths.
Parmas: nitrates < 5, nitrites 0, ammonia 0, temp 76, sg 1.026. I’ll test more params tonight
Tank: Nuvo 20 peninsula, I do weekly 30-35% water changes
Haven’t checked phosphates in a few days but they were next to zero last I checked and I did a water change two days ago.
Haven’t recently added anything minus a few SPS and softies 1-2 weeks ago. (On the same side of things my Zoa’s and frogspawn have both shrunk a bit in the past few days so maybe my test kit is off on something, but candy canes and hammers are looking healthy as ever.)
A few picture if you can see anything (plus a rare picture of all four of my fish near the same rock)
Like I said she’s been pretty aggressive to the black ocellaris lately so it was hard to get a picture
