I have a yellow tang now and really want a white and purple one as well.

1. Can anyone tell me of a sitr i can find a white tang? To see if I can even afford it lol I looked online but no luck

2. Would those 3 tangs be ok together? My most aggressive fish now is my humu trigger n i might get rid of him.

3 Zebrasoma tangs would not be a good idea. Unless you have a very large system. What size is your tank?

White tangs are extremely rare I believe. As in they can go up to 10K I believe. I have never seen one for sale but heard WWC had one a while back.

What 10k umm ok not for me :) Thanks for the heads up. Can the purple and yellow be together? My tank is a 120.

I was just talking to Lou about a white tang at WWC in October and he says that there is only 2 that he knows of in captivity. Casper and one in PA or somewhere out east.

Wowwwe they are tht rare huh. I didnt knw this!

Wow only 2 in captivity that is crazy. If you want some a little more rare and less pricey you might be able to find something that is piebald which means it retains some of the yellow pigmentation and is not completely white.

I wouldn't put a yellow and a purple in a 120, I have a 125 and I am going with a purple as my only tang. However you can try a yellow with on the Ctenochaetus tangs. I had this combo in a 125 for a yellow and it went well

Two Zebrasomas in a 125 is a crap-shoot. It might work, but you don't know unless you try it. For years I had two Yellows in a five foot tank, and everything was just fine. One day I look in the tank and they are going at it. I had to get rid of one Yellow. About a year later, unbeknownst to me my son put a Scopas (also a Zebrasoma) in with the yellow. At first they would square off and do a little tail stabbing, but eventually they found their place in the tank, and everything (for the time being) is fine. They both eat at the algae clip together without incident.

In a 125g I had a yellow, hippo, kole, and a mata tang. They were all fine together. Sold the mata tang (had from about 3") once it got to a foot long. As well as the hippo at about 6 inches. Still have the other 2. As long as you add them together they should be fine. I also had 6 tangs in my 200g and that worked well. I changed it up to do butterflies since the tangs wouldn't have the butterflies I sold them all and started over. Now back to 4 tangs in there. A convict, powder blue, purple and chevron.

You are one of the lucky ones I would say. How big are the two tangs and how long have they been in there together?
They have been together for two weeks they both eat algae together and swim together, funny thing is I added s powder brown tang and the purple tang is slightly aggressive toward him but he was never aggressive to the yellow. I think the trick was is that the yellow tang was half the size of the purple tang.
