White on face

I have a yellow Pygmy angel with white around eyes lips and face. It appears blue in photos but that is because of my lights. My wife thinks it’s always been like that and it’s natural markings. I’m not as sure.

Maybe had HLLE at one point in the past, sometimes the scars never heal from that I hear though no experience with it personally.

I just read an article on it and it said that hlle can be caused by carbon which I do use and actually have been surprised by how much ends up in my fleece roller. I am going to research more. Thanks for sending me in that direction.

I have stopped using carbon for that reason, despite how nicely it can polish the water.
