Close to a month. Maybe a tad longer. I think your getting at Uronema but 5he area is more of a raised spot like a pimple. He is getting beat on pretty good by a lyertail in there so I think its relayed to an injury. Not sure if its normal healing or the start of an infection.

Ok, so a 90 minute bath in Ruby Reef Rally is what I treat suspected injuries and or early bacterial infections. It has both antiseptic and antibiotic qualities that usually works wonders. But I also keep Nitrofuracine Green Powder to treat in a QT on hand if the infection refuses to respond or seems to be getting worse.

You think its worth while feeding some medicated foods. Not gonna be easy getting the fish out of the QT tank without taking out a ton of stuff and disrupting other fish. I have kanaplex and metroplex on hand with focus.

Here's a couple of thoughts/options for you to ponder. Ruby Reef Rally is a "reef safe" product that can be dosed into a display tank. But as always, you never know how individual corals, inverts, etc. may react. And of course a 90 minute bath would give a better treatment than the more dilute treatment of a whole tank. So here's the other option. Wait until the tank and room has been dark for a couple of hours. Use a small flashlight to find the fish. Keep the flashlight on the fish's face. The light will mesmerize the fish while you net it. Works pretty good for getting those really fast moving fish that are impossible to catch during daylight. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers.

Holy crap that's a really useful tip. I can't believe i've never seen this suggested before.

Here are sone updated photos. Started metroplex and kanaplex soaked food. The fish are in copper sonreally trying to avoid medicating the water with something else.

Hope it works! Keep us posted :)

Me to. If this was uronema the fish would be dead by now right? Going on day 4 or so by now. Fish is acting normal other than getting abused by my anthias and purple tang.
