Hello everyone! Just trying to see if someone can help me identify what the white scale like substance is in the picture attached. It’s basically all in my sump and on most of my equipment. Is not easy to get off and has to be basically scrapped off. I have researched online but have not found anything. It may be something typical but I am just not familiar with it. Trying to figure out what it is and what causes it. Thanks in advance for any help. My tank has been up about four years and this started about an year or so ago.

Sounds like calcium precipitation. What do you dose?

Maybe the photo will go through. Sorry for any confusion. This is my first attempt at posting something. I was running a kalkwasser drip for a while but I have not been currently dozing anything. Truth be told I am breaking down my tank and re-doing it. So I am mainly trying to find out more info about some of the problems I had to hoplefully correct them. This issue has appeared in the DT and the sump in serveral places. Does not appeared affected whether it has light or not.

I see no problem with the white scale. It looks like calcium carbonate.
