A little over a month ago I was at Petco buying doggie toys. They had just received a saltwater shipment that included a “white Sebae” anemone.
I bought it right out of the vendors box in the shipping bag.
The anemone was completely bleached out. I “borrowed” a tank raised cinnamon clown to help it acclimate. It worked because the anemone seemed to find a good spot for itself and hasn’t moved. The cinnamon clown went back to the store it came from a couple of days later.
The anemone turned out to be a Heteractis Malu, not a Crispa.

Nice recovery and cool score, I actually prefer Malu.

I was at petco a couple months ago and laughing they actually have signs that say, "white sebae", and that's probably the color you're gonna get at most, but most of those are still very saveable and usually a good deal.
Whatcha ya got going for clowns for it?

Thanks! Yes they do sell them as "white sebae".
Funny you ask about clowns. It was hosting a pair of tank raised Onyx clowns which Minh (OrionN) ended up adopting from me.
There is currently a pair of wild caught Ocellaris clowns in the tank but they have no interest in the Malu.
I got them two Gigantea nems from Liveaquaria last week. Both came in really tiny in size and one ended up getting killed in QT by a powerhead. The surviving tiny Gigantea is doing ok in Cipro treatment but I don't feel safe putting it with clowns. My female clown is 3" and the tiny gig is barely 1.5".

Ah cool, occs may take to it soon, but sounds like a gig or two is in future anyway.
Yeah I'd feed that gig a while too.
I'm happy to report I still have those wonderful picasso's you found for me and your mag, which has stayed exactly where I put it all this time, and clowns never leave it, and eggs under that mag every 2 weeks!
