Looks like a sponge. These filter-feeders are part of a healthy tank ecosystem and compete with diatoms for silicates. I would leave it, unless if it were to ever smother corals.

Thank you so so much. It’s on the rock with several mushrooms but I am watching. I may try to relocate the mushrooms.
