White slime blob thing?

Came home from work and tank was super cloudy. Look at my pump and saw this..? what the heck? I'm doing a water change tonight (wednesday nights) I pulled my pump out and am running it in some vinefav water it needed to be cleaned anyways. But what the heck is this?

No I took it out right after that picture. And threw it away then dropped the pumps in vinegar. It was white and a blob of goo. When I touched it it broke apart but was still slimy

Sounds like a booger to me!! Jk I just came here because your title interested me lol. No clue what it is. My guess is it could be bacteria that grew in a return tube and it finally broke loose. Hopefuly it's not "the blob"... Good movie you should watch it

That was my thought as i put one in recently but no, it is very visible. near the sand bed.

I’m just guessing here, but it sort of resembles the ‘nem poo my big saddle ‘nem used to spit out after digesting silversides. Some questions just have no answers. Keep an eye out for more, but if the ‘nem is new, it could be the culprit.

Good to know. Yeah he's out, but not out. Haha sitting between two rocks on the front of the tank near the bottom. This picture was early yesterday and he has come out more since. He has only been in since Monday morning.

Is it harmful/full of nutrients? Something to be worried about?

Or just something I'm gonna have to clean up once in a while.
