White slime? What is this?

There’s this white slime growing on my acan. What is this?

Looks like a sponge, which are normally harmless filter-feeders. Does it appear to be irritating the coral?

I second that it’s a sponge. If it’s bothering the coral, you can scrape them off really easily. They also don’t like being exposed to air, so pulling the frag would help anyways.
