Saw this on the rock, was white and looked like a slug. Switched the light on (was starting to get dark in the room) to get a picture and watched it turn slowly into the colour if the rock...)

It is a probably a cowrie of some type. They have a mantle that can cover the shell and make them look like a slug.

Excellent algae eaters - a keeper

Sincerely Lasse

Thanks! After looking online definitely seems like a cowrie. Need to get a closer look at shell to identify type. Must have been a hitchhiker somewhere, I certainly didn't add it. And dip all my corals... I'll try to keep an eye out. But with the shell exposed he's very well camouflaged!

I once had one of these, freaked out and literally burned it with acetone outside. Maybe i overreacted
Lol! Admittedly I do use the burn-with-acetone solution for most of life's problems I come across. But thought I'd break with tradition and ask first this time... lol

Hard to tell which for sure but it kind of looks like a money cowrie. I have a few of them and they are great. Not exciting but nice to have.
