I recently added copepods to my refuge but they must of got eaten as it's been 3 days and I've not seen a single one in the tank or sump.
Today though I've noticed small white specks on the glass, they arent moving at all so I dont think it can be to do with copepods.
Is it just white algae or something bad?

Sarah, don't expect to see copepods in the tank. I have lots of them and I really only see them when I pull rocks or corals or algae out of the tank for whatever reason. Then I see them in the tub I'm doing the work in.

As for the white spots, any chance they are small pineapple sponges just getting started? If so, they are OK and the number of them will fad to zero (or very close to zero) in time.

Thank you, they could be but they are so small I cant really tell.
I will just give the glass a clean and see if they come back

Leave a few in one spot and see if they grow. If they are pineapple sponges, they are good filter feeders and only seem to thrive for a month or so in new tanks. Mature tanks hardly ever have any.
