Anyone know what these white specks that look like sand floating around the tank are? They aren't sand, at least I don't think they are (they look to small). Parameters for tank seem to be in check and fish are fine, but can't seem to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

This may be totally off.. Is the tank new and was it packed with styrofoam?

could be air bubbles either from skimmer, return pump, or wave pump being too close to water surface.

however, judging by the picture provided it could be micro bubbles from skimmer and both your wave pump and return nozzle are not close to the surface or pointing down.

my tank actually has this but not as noticeable unless you’re about 5inches from the tank.
