we noticed this white thing growing by my zoas. It seems to be spreading.
Is it bad? Do I need to remove it? If so, how do I remove it.
(Pic taken in morning before lights on)

looks normal and harmless. if it starts killing zoas, id remove it. if you can remove the zoas so it isnt shaded, algae will quickly grow on it and then it will get choked out and die back.

+1. Looks like a Clathrina sponge.
Air exposure will also kill sponges by clogging their pores.
