white sponge

theirs these lil white sponges starting to grow all over my frags dont see them any where else but on the frags started in the past 3 weeks or so any help try to get pics up later thanx

sponges happen. I personally like sponges as they are great for filtering.

its been set up for like 2 to 3 months now at the max ill try to take some pics later n i just look again n i seen a couple on a snail too

is is sorta football shaped with a little tuft on one end? if so, pineapple sponge. they are good. my sump is covered with them.

I too had the same problem. Not sure if they are beneficial or not, but it stopped my zoa's/paly's from opening once they start to smoother the frag plugs. I had to continuously remove the sponges from my fags. Once the tank further matured they stopped growing.

i've had those since day 1. they haven't affected my tank in any negative way.

if you remove the sponge make sure you remove it (the sponge) out of the main tank. sometimes they release some toxins or chemicals.

The only thing about sponges is that they will grow around your zoas and choke them out, other than that they are harmless, just cut them off and flush 'em
