Great question. Lympho is a virus. It can be spread. High end breeders often separate the fish. That being said, it usually presents when a fish's immune system is under stress: poor water quality, shipping, illness, injury, aggression, etc. It's very similar to the human herpes virus in that once you contract it, you have it for life and it will occasionally present symptoms. So the best way to treat this is to make your fish as healthy as possible: pristine water quality, great foods that meet individual fish's needs + adding vitamins to help with that goal. Beta Glucan has shown to help tremendously with Lympho. Highly recommend BG.
Using 6-8 assorted frozen fish cubes placed into a bowl and into the fridge to "slump." Then mix. Strain or pour off the excess liquid as it will spike your nitrates and phosphates in your tank. Then add to the mix a 1/2 capsule of Beta Glucan + a bit of RODI or tank water to the consistency you like to work with. But can also add a scoop of Seachem's Focus to make a firmer mix to "target" feed a particular fish. The mix will stay good in the fridge for a few days. My fish love it. I alternate adding the Beta Glucan every other week. There are a lot of different versions of BG avail. I use this one as it is algae based.
