White spot on hippo tang

There’s a white spot on my hippo tang, near the back of it. Very small and right next to his belly. Not sure if you guys can see but what is this? The fish is still very young.

Didn’t notice that when looking at it. Might be something to do with camera but I’ll check again in a few

Does look like it has 2 smaller fainter ones on its tail as well

It’s hard to make out what it is.
The tail is likely lymphocytosis.
Monitor for now and make sure it doesn’t get worst.

Should I take it out? Don’t think it’s ich but I’ve personally never dealt with it so, I don’t really know what the next step is

& don’t want this spreading to other fish and killing off others if worse comes to worst

It’s not ich. For now I would just monitor, if you have a qt you can move it, but that may stress it out more.

Hopefully it’ll chill out. He does seem a bit stressed, not sure why the only new thing I introduced was a piece of coral. Will this disease spread?

Scratch that, might be ich. Many more white spots along its body my camera can’t pick up.

Been in tank for like 4 weeks maybe? And new additions: torch coral and a small candy cane.
Going to attempt to get him out after work

4 weeks is enough time for disease to still pop up.
Do the spots fall off and move in different locations?

What is on its belly is definitely not an ich spot, it’s a very wrong size and shape.

interesting. He has been acting up recently like swimming kinda wacky, very fast. Also eating like it’s his last meal lol I feed everything very well in my tank but he will pretty much go as fast as it can toward food but he’s fat and healthy. Makes me frustrated

So I'm going through the same issues with a hippo tang that I got. Started with a tiny one under 2 inches. He only lasted a week before he was gone. Got a larger one thats between 3 and 4 inches and he showed signs of ich by the second day. Ive taken all my fish out and put into a 40breeder that im using as quarantine/hospital system. I just finished my first week of copper and the fish that are still going look great(I used cupramine and didn't realize how hard it is on wrasses and blennies so I've lost 2 algae blennies and 2 6 line wrasses.) One more week of copper then all my fish should be ich free. Now fish cant be added back to a display that recently had ich. You will have to go fishless in your tank for a minimum of 75 days to allow the parasites in your system to go through their life cycles and strarve them to death.

I'm taking advantage of already having all my fish in QT to trat them with prazi pro to eliminate any other parasites after I finish copper and they will have to hang out until August 5th before going back to my display.

Its a lot of work but now that I have everything and am treating all my fish any future additions will get treated before being added to my main system. Hopefully saving me some future headaches.
