White spot on mandarin

Does anyone know what this is? White spot on mandarin. Near its tail

Assure its not sand as they have a good slime coat that would grab a sand grain or two. Other would be lymphocystis which is viral and often do to poor water quality, diet or both. Mandarin does look a little thin
 
I'm not sure I see what you are referring to, could you try again with more bright white light in the photo?

Mandarin's usually have a super thick slime coat and are the last to see parasites in my experience so I wouldn't over react. Are you seeing any other spots on any other fish?

Turns out it was sand! And yeah I’ll shoot you another pic later on!

Was sand! And yeah in that pic it does look skinny a bit but he’s healthy! Always see him eating pods and eats frozen too
