White spot on Powder brown tang..

So for some reason my water was super cloudy.. I think in the process of mixing the salt. It may have been to hot outside. Anyway. I put a powerhead in to agitate the surface.. I have three air stones a sump which has really nothing in it but a return pump and a sock filter over the pipe that returns the water back to sump.. and a HOB and it was still cloudy.. I did about 25% water change and it looks better.. I fed everyone pe misis and Julia's seaweed mixed with selcon and everyone ate really good. The Powder browns head looks better. I do not have lighting over the tank Right now but I don't see the spot anymore.. I will check in the morning and see if the water is more clear and get a better picture.. it's late here and I'm sleepy.. lol.. just wanted to update.. thanks again for all of your help!

It's hard to tell what's in th glass versus the fish but agree that getting a fish eating is priority one. There is however nearly a 100% chance these tangs have ich or velvet (or both) so I would treat in therapeutic levels of copper for at least 30 days, then remove and observe. Acanthurus tangs, especially powders, are like "disease thermometers". If it's in the tank, they'll show you within a week or two.

I'm really glad this appears to have cleared up! I can handle the parasites, but bacteria infections are too hit or miss for me. So glad that it seems you don't have to deal with that!
