White Spot on Sapphire Damsel

I noticed a white spot on my sapphire damsel in QT so I started ramping up copper. Before I got up to therapeutic levels the spot went away. One week after being at therapeutic levels the spot returned in the exact same place (behind the left eye) along with a new spot on the top of his head. The new spot went away in a few days but now a week later the one behind his left eye is still there and it's hard to tell but I think it might have gotten bigger. There are two banggais on the other side of the egg crate that never had any white spots as far as I can tell. All the fish in QT are acting normal and look very healthy besides the spot on the damsel. Does this sound like lympho? Photo is when he had two spots and the video is more recent with just one spot. Video is in 4k so remember to up the quality for a better look.

Yep, looks like probably lympho. Very close to the eye is a bit of concern. High quality fresh/frozen foods rich in fat, vitamins (Selcon), especially vitamin C. Just keep an eye on it for secondary bacterial infection. Like to use Maracyn 2 or equivalent if bacterial infection develops. Beautiful fish.

Cool cool, I'm already feeding selcon soaked mysis and alternating fish frenzy. Maybe I'll pick up some vitamin C. I'll just have to keep an eye on it. Thanks!

Wouldn't hurt to consider an acriflavine or Ruby Reef Rally bath for both the antibacterial and antiseptic qualities is you see more spots or spreading of the virus.
Do you have just the one Sapphire Damsel? Was thinking about a school of them for my 90.

Will do, I've got rally on hand. I've just got the one sapphire, I was planning on getting a sapphire and an azure. Trying to pick the least aggressive damsels because the rest of my stocking list is fairly peaceful. Really happy with the sapphire damsel, when the light hits him just right he glows a vibrant sapphire blue. And he's so active, constantly on the move. Love it. A school would be awesome! Are they aggressive toward conspecifics?

Good question. So far haven't found anyone who has tried a school of 6-8 or so. Other's have said they have 3-4 and no problems.

Lots of fish on your wish list on mine as well. My LFS has a CBB that eats almost anything - amazing. Saw it eat. Very tempting. Just started cultivating white worms, thanks to Paul B's advice, for those hard to satisfy fish like CBBs.

My LFS also has a real pretty YE Kole, Bristletooth and a school of Yellow Tangs that are so pretty. And he has a "whitetail" tang that's just the right size to take home $$$.

Interesting on the video they didn't say anything about refrigerating the worm culture.
