So my white spot died. Can't find him. Wondering if my cuc will eat him or if he'll poison the tank and I need to find him? I only have 2 emerald crabs but they are good size and the puffer is tiny

In any case I always try to find and retrieve a dead fish, but it really depends on the tank size and age of the tank. A large tank with established bacteria would most likely handle that with no problem. Sometimes, its physically impossible or not worth the time to rip apart the aquascape. However, if it is a small or new tank, I would definitely try to get it out so the water quality will stay consistent. So my white spot died. Can't find him. This particular tank is 6 months old 75 gallon. I started with a ton of live rock in it. I'm prepared for a water change in a few days if it does happen to spike. I can't even see him to remove him. Have no idea where he's at.In any case I always try to find and retrieve a dead fish, but it really depends on the tank size and age of the tank. If you can't find him or it's too difficult to rip everything apart, then it should be okay. You might get a bacteria bloom though. I've never personally had a puffer poison a tank.
If it were a boxfish though, then you'd be in some trouble[emoji23]
You should be fine. If the CUC doesnt take care of him, the bacteria happily will. A water change in a few days will help once the bacteria has broken down what's left of him. This particular tank is 6 months old 75 gallon. I started with a ton of live rock in it. Sorry for your loss, it sucks to lose fish. I lost a white spot puffer (along with many others) myself in a 75 gallon when my power failed while I was out of town.
