Guys just found out my rabbit fish had white spot iv taken him back to the shop what caused this and where do I go from here ?

How long did you have him? I would say he probably already had it. If he was in your display the others have it too. You may not be able to see it on them yet because it's in their gills but they have it. Stress events will make it worse and bring it to a point that you can see it. The only way to get it out of your tank for good is to go fallow for 76 days, put all your fish in QT and treat with copper, hypo, or TTM.

I had home quite a while I had 2 clowns that I put in a couple of weeks ago . The rabbit was already in the tank . The clowns died a week later

It's definately already in the tank at this point. Are you sure it's ick and not velvet? Posting a picture would help.

I did see like a worm with fur on it could that be the cause of it I no longer have a pic as the fish has gone.

I'm just guessing but that worm was probably just a bristle worm. Was the worm on the rocks or sand? Bristle worms dont kill fish, they are opportunistic and would eat on an already dead fish, but not a live one.

It was on the sand was wondering if it had a disease and infected the fish. When I had the tabbitfish I also had a lipstick tang which had swim bladder but had red stuff coming out of it could of been that I still don't know what that was lol

Need much more info on you setup. What size/type tank? Current parameters. List of inhabitants and when added, who has died, when and why.

The worm on the sand is probably just a bristle worm and isn't going to harm any of your fish. Naiad is right, more info would help identify a cause and a future course of action. Pictures of any and all sick fish would be best too.

Tank is now empty I've now downgraded which is also empty. I had a 450 litre tank with hob protein skimmer live rock and love sand

So you dont have any tanks running now?

Ok. So just let the tank cycle for 2 months with no fish and the disease will have died off with no host

That depends on if you have any inverts on the rock and if your nitrate is high. It won't hurt at all either way but if the rock has inverts then I would make sure they have clean water. Also look into qt.

For sure QT any new additions after this. That will help keep the diseases out of your tank from now on. Make sure to check out the sticky threads in the disease forums for more info on how to QT

I've put the rock in the smaller tank shall I take out and wash it

That wont do anything for the ick. You might as well just let the tank cycle without fish for the 76 days required to starve it out. Otherwise you would need to take out the sand, rock and water. Clean the tank and rinse and let dry the sand and rock. Then you'd have to cure it all which would take longer. Letting it go fallow will be faster and easier. It's up to you though.

I just discovered a shrimp in the tank must of come of the life rock will this effect the starving of the tank with him in there. ?
