White spots in recovered coral

So this piece recovered from near death after dinos. But has gotten white spots, not sure if this is growth or something else. Here are before and after pics.

Looks like tissue death to me. Just keep water parameters stable and wait.
 
Hmmm, its been growing and has regenerated 99% of its tissue and color from the original pic. My parameters are pretty stable and have most of my sps growing well and steadily. Could this be a lighting issue? i have it in a shaded area but that spot gets a bit more light than the rest? I'll try moving it to a more shaded area and see if there is any change.

I got the pictures confused. I thought the first was the current one and the second was an old one. Coral looks healthy.
