My JF Crazy Foz chalice started to get some white or pale looking spots on the tissue and I'm not sure exactly what it is. I've looked at it with a magnifying glass and I don't think it is a parasite, but probably tissue necrosis?

Never seen this before so looking for some advice and treatment options. Water params are all good and other chalices look normal.

It’s very hard too tell from the photos , it looks perfectly healthy too me , or are all the blue spots the white ones , and the photo is taken under blue light .. could you maybe get a better photo less blue ..it’s a beautiful piece by the way .. could it be getting to much light where it is ... #reefsquad ... any insight ?

Sory about the crapy pics. All I have is my iPhone camera. Here are a couple more that might help ID the issue.

What are the nutrient levels, just to see them.

It's just deflated the skin is sucked on the Skelton more. Mine usually do that when I mess with the flow or lighting. And certain parts are just more pulled down.

NO3 - 8ppm
PO4 - .03ppm
Dkh - 7.8
CA - 420
Mg - 1370
Salinity - 1.026
Thank you, and no changes to the system, for example lighting, settings?

How are the spots this morning?

What I use for my coral health is vitamin C mixed in with my frozen when feeding. The C helps the corals recover for the lighting period and general health. The C is also good for the critter in the system also.

This makes sense. I did change the flow shortly before this happened.

Almost looks like a feeding response since the mouths are open. There is a color change on the chalice. Are the white spots kinda fluffy in apperance?? Hard to tell if it's skeleton coming through from recession.

I agree it is really hard to tell.I think I see the skeleton coming through. Not a good sign.

It was indeed tissue necrosis and ultimately I lost the chalice. Everything else in the tank is doing great so it's just one of those things that makes reefing a love/hate obsession. I grew that one from a single eye ;(....

Well that's unfortunate. It's sad how a whole colony can get lost in just a few days.
