White spots on clowns

Both clowns have white spots and the frostbite clown had a long string coming out of butt this morning but is no longer there these are my first fish and they are in a uncycled qt tank ATM I've been doing frequent water changes if not every day then every other day fish have looked very healthy until today just trying figure out if I caused this or the fish were already sick both clowns are not looking too good :/

The ammonia is too high - However, since you used Prime, it's hard to say what the real level is. I would be doing more water changes. Unfortunately none of the pictures for some reason are seeable on my phone. I'm assuming someone else will weigh in
 


I was able to expand and freeze the video. Looks like brooklynella which is often called clown disease although it can affect other fish. Especially noticeable on the percula is the amount slime on its body along with thick mucus on its body also noticeable on the fish. This mucus generally starts at the facial area as well as gills and spreads across the body producing lesions as it progresses often confused with ich and can turn into secondary bacteria. Other symptoms will be lethargic behavior, refusing to eat and heavy breathing from the mucus.
Typical treatment is a formalin solution is mixed with in a separate container with either fresh or saltwater. Start with a quick dip in the formalin at a higher concentration then performing treatment in a prolonged bath of formalin base at a lower concentration in a quarantine tank. The longer the fish are exposed to the formalin treatment the more effective it will be at eliminating this issue.
If a formalin solution is not available for immediate use, temporary relief can be achieved by giving the fish a FW bath or dip in water same temperature as display tank. Even though this treatment will not cure the disease, it can help to remove some of the parasites, as well as reduce the amount of mucus in the gills to assist with respiration problems.
Treatment is best done in a QT tank using either quick cure (more effective but now harder to find) or Ruby Rally Pro. Ruby takes a little longer and initial treatment generally takes 2-3 days to really start going to work.
With the advanced stage of this- I recommend immediate quarantine of all inhabitants and leaving display without fish for 4-6 weeks.

Thank you so much for the info both fish are in a uncycled qt tank with no media should I just treat the whole tank and also give them baths or start a whole new qt?

If bare tank and no intention to add corals, yes you can. If you plan to stock tank later, ruby rally pro will work slower but will work. The one with heavy mucus as long as its not breathing heavier can be administered a FW bath as described

I can’t say if this is Brooklynella or a reaction to long term high ammonia (that can also cause skin mucus).

Can you get cycled media or more bacteria in a bottle for this tank? I try to never expose fish to an unicycled tank, as you’ve seen, water changes often cannot manage it.

no worries im now better prepared to keep the ammonia levels down. the ammonia levels were chillin at 0.5 and i couldnt get them down and i think thats what killed them but let me know if you think otherwise cuz i know clowns are supposed to be hearty i just dont know if they can tolerate 0.5 for A week

its a bummer cuz they were going to be my first fish in my main tank, now my main tank is cycled ready to go but still wont have fish for another month do i just keep adding microbactor 7 and some shrimp to my main to keep the cycle alive?
