My foxface recently started developing about 5 or 6 white spots (about 0.9 mm) on its face only. Is it definitely ich or could it be something else? Sorry, i could not upload a picture as it swims very fast[emoji28]

White spots usually either mean ich or velvet. With out photos it is hard to say. FYI I am no expert but I just had to deal with ich and I have done some research on it.

Not very clear but it is the best i can do

No it seems indented in its head. My other fish dont seem to be affected it has been going on for about one and a half weeks

Yes and i have had the foxface for quite a while now
I am guessing it is a sore, but I am not an expert. If it is a sore you should probably move it to your QT and treat it with antibiotics. There might be some more people that pop in that know more than I do, but they will probably want some clear photos to see the issue.

What size is the tank and what do you feed it?

About a thirty gallon and i feed it ocean nutrition formula two

There is your problem. The fish is ultra cramped and stressed. 30 gallons is nothing more than a temporary holding tank for that fish.

When you QT’d, did you deworm the fish? Any white stringy poop?

What about water quality? Current parameters? (Particularly ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates) Do you use carbon?

HLLE would be my guess, if it isn't ich. Google that and see if it matches. Foxfaces aren't as famous for having it as, say, tangs or angels, but they can still get it.
Formula 2 is a great frozen food for algae eaters. Mix in some nori and some Mysis and you will have a good diet. That will help with HLLE.

I agree that the fish will outgrow a 30 gallon easily, since it will get 6-8" long.
