White spots on green chromis tail fin

Wondering why my chromis has this on tail. Hoping it’s not a disease and just natural coloring or stress

As reference I got it a week ago and it had it since I placed in tank but not sure if it was there before acclimation

It might just be the angle of the photo, but it almost looks like maybe his tail got pinched with a net or specimen container.

Edit. Just noticed you said you had it for a week, and that it was like that when you added him.

I need to read more carefully.

It doesn’t look like something parasitic to me that I can tell, I would just keep an eye on it. If you get more photos, or anything changes maybe check back.

Thank you very much. Yeah I don’t recall it being on him when at lfs I thought it might have been something like the net as well. Too big for ick

certainly doesn’t look like a parasitic or anything I would keep a close eye on it if you have a blood shrimp it would differently take of it for you

Yeah I have one but he hides and the chromis stays on top
